About
Ocean Grove
Ocean
Grove was established in 1869 as a Methodist Retreat Center. It
is a very special seaside community...unique in all the world. Designated
as a National Historic District, Ocean Grove has one of the largest
collections of Victorian homes in the country, within it's square
mile area, with access to 8 miles of boardwalk
The
Beersheba Well, constructed in 1870, is the first well driven in
Ocean Grove. It is an artesian well and was originally a common
pump with a tin cup attached. The picturesque structure still exists,
and is maintained by the Historical
Society of Ocean Grove.
